Racist insults against a Ouest-France journalist: convictions on appeal in Rennes
The dispute between Ouest-France and the website Breizh-Info dates back to 2021. On October 26, 2026, the Rennes Court of Appeal convicted three men, two of them linked to Breizh-Info, for public racial insult against a Ouest-France journalist, after the Court of Cassation overturned their acquittal. The following day, the same court convicted the editor‑in‑chief and the publisher of Breizh-Info in the same case. Breizh-Info announced an appeal to the Court of Cassation.
