PFAS: Camille Etienne publishes "Factor X", appeal against Daïkin

In late October 2026, the publication of the investigative book "Factor X" by Camille Etienne, devoted to PFAS and the health consequences of the chemical industry, notably around the Chemours plant, is announced and the book is then presented as published. On October 27, a report indicates that, a year and a half after the law restricting PFAS, controls have intensified in France but that industrialists continue to discharge these persistent molecules into the environment. The same day, five associations challenge before the Lyon administrative court of appeal a prefectural order authorizing Daïkin to replace a toxic PFAS with another in the Chemical Valley.
