Racist threats and assaults against delivery workers: investigation opened
In late October 2026, an investigation for incitement to racial hatred was opened after calls on social networks to assault Black or Arab-origin delivery workers. Uber said it had sent prevention messages to its drivers and delivery workers. On November 1, delivery workers claiming to be victims of ambushes by far-right militants set up alert networks, after already being exposed to racist insults and assaults. On November 3, Labor Minister Jean-Pierre Farandou said he was “very shocked” by death threats targeting delivery workers and announced he would bring the platforms together.
