Angle comparison
Both sides report the same death at 81 and the status as a figure of crime and fantasy fiction, but the left develops a literary portrait (prizes, titles, interviews, cinema) while the center circulates a factual, homogeneous dispatch centered on the publisher's announcement.
Left
Highlights the work and singularity of the author: Femina and Livre Inter prizes for « l'Enfer », specific titles (« la Machine », « Régis Mille l'éventreur »), essay on Dickens, foray into cinema, refusal of categories and genres, attachment to Lyon, and for L'Obs an old interview in which the writer was judged « still as eccentric ».
Centre
Insists on the facts and the source of the information: death on Sunday at 81 announced on Monday by publisher P.O.L., author of more than twenty books, figure of contemporary crime and fantasy fiction; Le Progrès adds the mention « Lyonnais ».
Right
No coverage from this side.
