Rescues and shipwrecks linked to Channel crossings in Pas-de-Calais

Late October, some thirty migrants were brought back to the Loubet basin in Boulogne-sur-Mer after a rescue, while the SNSM of Tréport intervened for an overloaded precarious craft carrying children and an infant on board. On October 31, two smugglers residing in Belgium were organizing departures of "small boats" from French territory. On November 1, a shipwreck in Equihen-Plage led to the hospitalization of five people, including a pregnant woman and a 2-year-old boy, and new crossing attempts were reported in the Montreuillois area. The same day, a man was taken to CHAM after a crossing attempt in Berck. On November 2, some forty exiles were brought back to the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer, one slightly injured, and on November 6, three migrants were suffering from hypothermia after a new attempt from Berck.
