Refashion and the collection of textiles from the social and solidarity economy
On October 28, 2026, the delegate minister for the Ecological Transition, Mathieu Lefèvre, sent a letter to the eco-organization Refashion to remind it of its obligations to collect used textiles from social and solidarity economy actors. Two days later, Refashion assured it was meeting its obligations and taking back free of charge the textiles collected by these actors. The eco-organization formulated this response while the textile extended producer responsibility sector was subject to criticism.
