Val d'Isère : mayoral election annulled, a priority preliminary ruling on constitutionality referred to the Constitutional Council

The election of Xavier Mattis as mayor of Val d'Isère in March 2026 was annulled due to a conflict of interest. The Council of State referred the case to the Constitutional Council on October 12 via a priority preliminary ruling on constitutionality.
