Story angles

This event does not yet have its own comparison: here is the story's Regulation of aesthetic medicine in France after two deaths.

The three sides cover the same 30% cap decree on aesthetic activity, but the left frames it in the fight against medical deserts, the center highlights both the risks of illegal care and union discontent, while the right focuses on the announced extension to aesthetic surgery.

Left

Presents the decree as a way to fill medical deserts by redirecting doctors' time toward their specialty, while noting sector opposition.

Centre

Highlights the dangers of clandestine aesthetic care (deaths linked to illegal practices) and difficulty accessing appointments, while reporting union discontent over the 30% cap.

Right

No coverage from this side.

Common points

  • =The government wants to cap aesthetic medicine activity at 30% of doctors' working time
  • =The project sparks opposition or discontent among sector unions
  • =The executive also considers restricting aesthetic surgery practiced by doctors

Divergences

  • ≠The left links the decree to the fight against medical deserts, an angle absent from right-wing headlines
  • ≠The center highlights deaths linked to clandestine aesthetic medicine, an element not taken up by the other sides
  • ≠The right headlines the limitation of aesthetic surgery, an aspect little highlighted by the left
