Ce 24 octobre, une dizaine de bénévoles, accompagnés du comité de rahui de Papara et Mataiea, de la FAPE et de l'Ifremer ont arraché des algues turbinaria ornata, à l'appel de l'association Tamarii no te moana. Ces algues longues et piquantes ont proliféré et étouffent les coraux, empêchant les bénitiers de s'y fixer.
