## Coverage angles

Both sides report the two-year extension of rent control in municipalities where it already applies, but coverage differs: the left emphasizes the limitations of the scheme, while the center highlights the postponement of the decision on its future.

**Common ground**

- The Senate voted to extend rent control for two years in municipalities where it already applies.

**Differences**

- The left explicitly mentions the refusal to expand the scheme to new cities and limit rent supplements; the center does not mention this in the provided title.
- The left describes the rent control as 'substandard' and highlights its non-compliance; the center adopts a procedural 'reprieve' framing to decide on the next steps.
