## Coverage angles

All three sides report Mélenchon's cancellation of his TF1 8 PM appearance, but differ in emphasis: the left insists on Édouard Philippe's remarks on immigration and the channel's responsibility, the center highlights TF1's contradictory version on the prior timing of the cancellation, the right emphasizes the « dodge » and Mélenchon's quotes on « racist smears ».

**Common ground**

- Mélenchon canceled his scheduled appearance on TF1's 8 PM news
- Mélenchon denounced a « disgusting » speech by Édouard Philippe on immigration
- Mélenchon blames the presenter for not interrupting Édouard Philippe
- TF1 disputes the cancellation timeline

**Differences**

- The center and part of the left report that TF1 claims the interview was already no longer current or had been canceled at the end of the week, which Mélenchon's announcement presentation contradicts
- The right describes the cancellation as a « dodge », a term absent from left and center articles
- The left highlights the « racist smears » and the context of the October 17 violence, little detailed on the right
