## Coverage angles

Both sides cover the same trial for domestic violence and a dog's death, but the left emphasizes the brutality of the facts and the victim's account, while the center highlights the defendant's statements and the prosecutor's warning about an "announced femicide".

**Common ground**

- A 28-year-old man is being tried for violence against his partner and for the death of one of their dogs
- The facts take place in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne)
- The prosecutor's office mentions an announced femicide

**Differences**

- The left details the circumstances (partner throwing herself from the apartment, dog found dead from suffocation, muzzle taped shut), details absent from the center's headline and excerpt
- The center cites the defendant's statements and his defense strategy (minimization, denial), little present in the left-wing excerpt
